Will QuiltCAD operate my sewing machine?

No, QuiltCAD is a design package that lets you create your stitch patterns. With these designs, you can print out your own pantograms and, with QuiltCAD CNC Pro, you can create design files for the Statler Stitcher and PC Quilter.

Must I be a skilled artist to use QuiltCAD?

Emphatically NO! You will be pleased to find how easy and fun it is to create beautiful stitch work, whether by drawing, using our automatic pattern creators, or by tracing existing photographs and pictures. That being said, the tools are there for the artists to creatively express themselves.

Isn't it hard to draw with a mouse?

We have done everything possible to remedy that situation. We have built-in automatic line smoothing to eliminate those jaggedy jittery lines. With QuiltCAD Premium and CNC Pro, you can load in photographs and pictures for tracing. (See our tracing tutorial!) You have complete control over each and every line you enter to mold and reshape until your drawing is perfect.
